Join us for a Bibimbap workshop. Learn how to make this mixed rice dish using seasonal and accessible ingredients. Selina will demonstrate the traditional way to prepare vegetables that are brought together in this dish. The class will include a cooking demo as well as the opportunity to get hands-on practice in preparing this Korean specialty. Everyone will create their own version of bibimbap to try in class. At the end of the session, we will gather together around the table to enjoy the class-prepared bibimbap along with homemade soup, kimchi and pickles provided by Selina.
Selina S. Lee is one of very few Korean American chefs working in the SF/Bay Area. She is currently working as a food consultant for Korean food businesses in the area and is a creator/host of Banchan Workshop - a series of Korean cooking workshops that focus on cultured cooking and pickling. She has hosted many workshops like kimchi, Korean street food to Korean home-cooking basics like rice & noodle.
